- When I was about 14 years old (30 years ago) I started getting red round spots on my upper thighs. The family doctor was unable to diagnose these spots, eventually I saw a dermatologist who confirmed I had Anetoderma, that there was no cure of it. The red spots slowly turned greyish large raised spots. Over the years, I've developed more spots, most of which are on my upper arms and shoulders, a few on my neck. I hate them, I can't wear tank tops or t-shirts because someone always has to ask me if I was attacked my mosquitos. I am asked this questions every single day. I am tired of telling me that my spots are scars. I went to the dermatologist again as recently as two years ago and go the same "there is no treatment" for Anetoderma. I am wondering is anyone has had plastic surgery?
